Standards

Editorial Standards & Corrections

How EPIC checks, reviews and corrects its work.

Fact-checking

Every factual claim, date, figure and quotation in an EPIC publication is checked against a primary or authoritative source before release. Sources are cited in full so readers can verify them.

Review

Each output passes internal editorial review by the EPIC Research Team. Longer research papers are additionally reviewed against the Centre’s standards for argument, evidence and clarity, and may be sent for external review.

Analysis and opinion

EPIC separates evidence from interpretation. Recommendations are identified as such, and limitations are stated openly.

Corrections policy

Readers are encouraged to report errors through the contact details on the About page. EPIC aims to respond to every report within ten working days.

When an error of fact is confirmed, the item is corrected and a dated correction note is added at the foot of the page and in the PDF edition.
